A 50 year old zoo extending over 380 acres, this is a wonderful blend of ecological programmes, animal habitats, research facilities, and other such attractions.
Where to eat: A lot of good local hotels are available like Green Bawarchi, etc, which serve good Hyderabadi cuisine. A food court by the name Kebabish is also present inside the Zoo.

Good for: Being a well-equipped zoo, visitors can comfortably spend an entire day here enjoying several facilities such as toy train, kids park, hired bicycle rides (Rs.20/hour), walks around large aquariums with freshwater and marine life on display.
How to reach from main city: There are different bus routes to Nehru Zoological Park, one can go from main places like Secundrabad Railway station or by catching a bus from Nampally Railway Station also but, one needs to catch two different buses; one to Afzalgunj and one from Afzalgunj to the Zoo.
One can also go to Nehru Zoological Park by bus from Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station(MGBS) or Hyderabad main Bus station also called as Central bus station
Time and distance: It takes approximately one hour to cover a distance of 10 kms roughly but, the time and distance varies according to which area you choose to go from.
